The SFS Varsity soccer team won back-to-back contests for the first time this season. On Saturday the Wyverns travelled to Bullitt County to take on North Bullitt. St. Francis was able to pull out a 6-1 victory over the Eagles for their first road win of the season.
On Tuesday night the Wyverns were back in action as they played host to 25th District rival Central. The Wyverns jumped on the Yellowjackets early building a 4-0 lead by halftime. St. Francis didn’t let up in the second half and pounded Central 9-2.
St. Francis moves its record to 3-5 overall. Coming up the Wyverns will play host to Walden on Friday at the Fall Sports Picnic. Friday night will also be Senior Night for a special group of kids. Sam Erbes, Alex Resnik and Wah Doe Moo are all four year letter winners for the team joined by Robby Davenport, who joined the team after transferring in last season. Managers Elyssa Anastas and Kenna Mudd will also be celebrated on that night as well. Then on Saturday morning they will be back in action against Brown School in Goshen.
