The Wyvern boys' soccer team has had a strong start to the 2016 season.  St. Francis has a current record of 3-0 heading into the 7th Region "A" Championship game on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Wyverns started the season on the road at Holy Cross in a game against a regional opponent. Last season the Cougars easily defeated St. Francis in Goshen by a score of 5-1.  A year later, with a new coach, the Wyverns looked to repay the favor. The Wyverns jumped out to an early 1-0 lead behind a Moo goal at the 10 minute mark. The game was tied 1-1 at the half. Holy Cross scored two quick goals in the frist 10 minutes of the second half to take a 3-1 lead. St. Francis finally got into the groove when Moo scored his second goal (assist Crawford), then assisted on Thurstone's goal. Harrison Crawford sealed the deal in the 67th minute netting the game winner.
